Parents see red after vandalism

Vandals scrawled offensive words in red paint on play equipment in two children’s playgrounds.

Parents in Littlehampton have been reporting their disgust at the incidents spotted in the last couple of days on their local Spotted Littlehampton Facebook page.

One parent wrote that her six-year-old daughter stained her dress with red paint after using a slide in the Bird estate in the Wick area of Littlehampton and then asked her mother the meaning of an obscenity which had been spelt out.

A second mother said a similar attack using red spray paint had been carried out at Rosemead Open Space in the town, leading to her daughter unintentionally dyeing her tights after using a swing.
