EMERGENCY services are set to host their annual day of fun.
Firefighters, paramedics, and police officers will show how their jobs are done in a series of demonstrations.
Police dogs at work and car rescues will be among the acts at the 2014 Brighton and Hove 999 Funday, this Sunday (August 10) in Hove Lawns.
This year’s event is in aid of Sussex Heart Charity, which provides training and defibrillators across the county.
Programme-buyers will be in with a chance of winning prizes donated by local businesses including a new mountain bike, family ride on the Brighton Wheel and makeovers from Body Shop.
Sussex Police Chief Superintendent Nev Kemp said: “Events such as the 999 day are a brilliant opportunity to meet local people and show first-hand the range of things the team do to keep people safe.”
Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne will also be at the family event, which is due to start at 11am.
