A Lewes prison inmate man who escaped from hospital is still on the run.
Jamie Stephen Halifax escaped from the Royal Sussex County Hospital while receiving treatment shortly before 1am on Sunday, July 27.
Halifax, 25, was convicted of robbery and possessing an offensive weapon on June 5 and had been on remand at HMP Lewes awaiting sentence, on a date to be fixed, when he escaped.
He is described as white, 5' 4" to 5' 8", of slim build and with shaven brown hair.
He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a light blue t-shirt and white trainers.
Halifax, who has a large tattoo spelling "Lauren" on his neck, was last seen running along Bristol Gate on the east side of the hospital.
Anyone seeing Halifax, or who may know of his whereabouts, is asked not to approach him but to call Sussex Police, either by dialling 999 if immediately in view, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 101, quoting serial 79 of 27/14.
