Children's favourite Paddington Bear paid a visit to young hospital patients to help promote a charity campaign.
The marmalade-loving bear is the official mascot of Horsham-based Action Medical Research.
The charity funds vital research taking place around the country looking into the causes and treatment of children's diseases and conditions.
He was at the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton as part of a national tour raising awareness of the Bear Miles for Breakthroughs drive.
This calls on the public to support Paddington on his travels by donating through the website www.action. org.uk/BearMiles.
A charity spokeswoman said: “We are delighted to be taking Paddington on tour this summer to help spread the word about the life-changing work we do here at Action Medical Research.
“He has been at the heart of our fundraising efforts for nearly 40 years and the money raised through the ‘Bear Miles for Breakthroughs’ appeal will enable us to continue helping thousands of sick babies and children.”
