Witnesses are being sought over a suspected break-in.

Police were called to reports of men trying to force their way into a home in Eriswell Road, Worthing, at 9am on August 2.

Officers arrived to find three men in the street, one of whom had sustained a small cut to his head which did not require hospital treatment.

One man the police are trying to trace is described as being aged in his early 20s, 6ft tall, of slim build with short, dark hair.

He was wearing black jogging bottoms and a grey hoodie or jacket.

Two local men, aged 32 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of affray and were released on police bail until September 3.

Response Investigator Kimberley Duke said: “I ask anyone who was in the Eriswell Road, Rowlands Road or the Shelley Road area that morning and who may have seen a man matching the description to contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 479 of 02/08.”
