A man has died after he was hit by a train near a level crossing.

The 57-year-old man  was pronounced dead at the scene yesterday evening after he was struck by the train near the Drayton Lane level crossing in Chichester.

At 8pm yesterday evening emergency services were called to scene after reports the man from Yapton had been hit by a train.

Passengers travelling from Havant to Brighton faced delays of up to an hour and replacement buses were laid on.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “Our officers were called to the line close to Drayton Lane level crossing, Chichester, at 8pm on Wednesday, 13 August after a report that a man had been struck by a train.

“A 57-year-old man, from Yapton, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

“The incident is currently not being treated as suspicious.

“The man’s family have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

The Argus hasn't a clue. Note the complete lack of updates.

And the number of men killing themselves in the UK just keeps on rising. Meanwhile the huge majority of funds are given to charities that focus specifically and only on women. Despite male UK suicides vastly outnumbering women, despite mass media coverage of female harm, self inflicted or otherwise in the UK focusing, again on women, utterly disproportionately, despite the reality.

You'd hope, or at least think that in light of Robin Williams recent suicide the people in power might have seen some reality, or considered the facts. Apparently not. There must be a call for a national rethink on male suicides , and reporting of them, if only to reflect reality, not simply the advertising share mass media is beholden to, which statistically is largely female in the UK right now. Enough of treating them as the 'and finally' stories, whilst even the existence of female self help groups are given far more coverage and depth, not to mention funding. Men are important too. Right now they are dying.

Dear crepuscular non-entity, I have listened to your rabid ranting for some time now. It is clear however that your hormonal instability is driven by childhood abuses that I will never comprehend. So, my sweet, we must part ways. Go drowned in your own bile, while I walk in the sun. Remember, you are flesh and blood, and the worms will feast.

Crepuscular is one of my favourite words; I remember coming across it first in To the Lighthouse when I was 14. Unfortunately, you don't really use it correctly as it is rather a poetic, arcane word, not suited to being nasty.

Anyway - Must we be divided, must we part? (Richard III possibly?) I have rather enjoyed your outbursts...

Darling, my sweet. Your grasp of English literature is just like your politics, rooted in the 1700's. No one blames a spinster for her bitterness, but darling, try to hide your desperation better. Your view from on the shelf must be desolate I know, but don't blame those of us who can find love. We understand your condition must bring you pain. Vaginal dryness and mood swings can be cured- a high dose oestrogen patch should do the trick. The fact your 'handle' mentions your jugs shows how much you value your femininity. In which case why not enhance it, perhaps a shave will reduce your hirsuitism and result in you looking at least something like a Woman ( or does your church
not allow that?). It may allow others to guess at your (female?) gender too. Then perhaps you can find a man and enjoy that which you crave most- Rapture with another human rather than with a zucchini! My love, the earl of Queensbury has left the building. You have been warned!

But please, those of you who believe that a person should be free to love who they choose, take down this troll until my husband and I awake and take up the good fight again. Remember- if your not part of the solution you are part of the problem. Evil only needs the good to stand aside and do nothing to prosper. Goodnight peeps. Xx

PUBLIC APOLOGY TO TR1STAN AND SPOUSE.

I have obviously made a huge error in confronting the above people over their muddled morals and general stupidity.

I wish to retract everything I have said in the light of new information I have received: My husband offered to feed all their incoherent ramblings and accusations in to an online IQ generating facility.
Based on variables such as grammar (your / you're confusions for example); punctuation; vocabulary and general irrational obsessions (such as 'vaginal dryness' trying to turn strangers against me, etc) the Barnes-Scribe IQ Generator reported they were both "Borderline Retarded" - which explains a lot of their pathologies towards me, and no doubt other innocent members of the public.

I understand a lot of things now I did not understand before. These people are to be congratulated on their attempts to mingle with normal society and I applaud their efforts.

You're so cute. Using the internet and everything. So modern!
Your belief in your own intelligence against all evidence to the contrary is heartwarming. Keep believing baby! Great to see I struck a chord, I can only guess which one struck home? Was it your misguided belief system, your state of physical disrepair , it just that someone stood up to you? Never mind, whichever it was, I am smiling knowing that I got under your skin. You are a bully, pure and simple. You're not big darling and your not clever. Must be a shock that someone has called you up
On your bigotry and stupidity. Feel free to play this game as long as you want. You don't irritate me with your glib nonsense- but by god I am irritating you nes pas? Xx

It's very sad , depression and anxiety can be soo crushing, you simply cant rationalize properly or logically, I wondered if he had been Sanctioned by Ian Duncan Smith as many unemployed and disabled are with hidden invisible illnesses, or was he made worse by SSRi's antidepressants?. Thats why they have to print "may cause suicidal thoughts" half of us with depression just need to talk to someone, anyone, its called CBT. Helped me alot.
