AN internal party inquiry has been launched into a councillor’s treatment of fellow Labour members.
The Argus understands the probe is looking into the behaviour of Brighton and Hove City Council councillor Leigh Farrow.
It had been rumoured that the ward councillor for Moulsecoomb and Bevendean has been suspended by his party.
But in a spokeswoman from Labour’s South East region office denied the claims.
She said: “Councillor Farrow is not and never has been suspended.”
The Argus called Coun Farrow on both Wednesday and Thursday but he did not reply.
The council’s Labour group, senior councillors and Brighton Kemptown parliamentary candidate Nancy Platts all declined to comment on the situation. The party also failed to clarify rumours that Coun Farrow had been de-selected from standing at next year’s local elections
