The rear window of a car was smashed and thieves made off with a stereo, a sat nav and an electronic tablet.

A small rear window was smashed on a silver Mitsubishi Lancer at about 1.10am on August 17 and thieves stole the stereo, sat nav system and a tablet device.

Two people were seen acting suspiciously near to the car in Medina Terrace, St Leonards, before it was broken into. They ran off when they were disturbed by a resident.

The first suspect was a white man who was about 6ft. He was wearing a red hooded top with grey jogging bottoms.

The second suspect was in the shadows and was not seen clearly.

Anyone with information should email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 105 of 17/08, email 101 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
