Car damaged in acid throw attack
ACID was thrown over a car in an overnight attack.
Sussex Police were called to the scene in Shelldale Road, Portslade, yesterday (Aug18) morning after the owner of a red Citroen Xsara car reported acid had been thrown over it.
The attack is believed to have occurred during the night from between 8.30pm on Sunday at 8.30am on Monday morning.
Several other cars also have been damaged and firefighters from East Sussex Fire and Rescue had to attend to wash any traces of the acid from the road and pavement surfaces.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pn.police.uk, quoting serial 301 of 18/8.
