This photogenic mouse proved picture perfect after being snapped nibbling away at bird food in a back garden.

Tom Boyle, 65, from Burgess Hill, captured the cheeky field mouse on camera.

He said: β€œI had seen him on my bird feeder for two weeks eating the nuts. He seems to have been living in a spindle bush next to the feeder. It made a great picture. It was taken on my Olympus E-410 with a 70-300 lens.

β€œHe was quite timid to start with but he got used to me in the end and I was able to take the shot.”

Wildlife experts describe mice as opportunistic rodents with a granivorous, or seed, diet so bird feeders can be the perfect food source for their appetites.
