An award-winning comedy show staring three former EastEnders actors celebrated the first performance of its seven-night residence yesterday.

Former Eastenders Shaun Williamson, better known as Barry Evans, joins his fellow alumni Jasmyn Banks, who played Alice Branning, and Emma Barton, known for her portrayal of Honey Mitchell, to take up starring roles alongside Gavin Spokes, who has appeared in The Bill and Hollyoaks, in One Man, Two Guvnors.

The National Theatre show has been seen by over one million people worldwide and last night rung in its first performance at The Hawth in Crawley.

The slapstick and satire brimming show, directed by Nick Hytner and written by Richard Bean, will be in residence at the venue until August 23 before it continues its UK tour.

Tickets are available from www.parkwoodtheatres.co.uk and range from £27 to £32.50. A matinee of the show will be on August 23 at 2.30pm and all over performances this week will be at 7.30pm.
