A police force is on the lookout for the next Ant and Dec to take part in its 24-hour live broadcast.

As part of 24-hour live, Sussex Police is offering eight Sussex residents the chance to be a presenter for the day during the broadcast in October.

The winners will have the chance to present a broadcast streamed from the Sussex Police website, spending part of a shift with one of a range of different policing teams.

A police spokeswoman said: “You could be going on patrol with our neighbourhood response officers, finding out about how we do forensic examinations, going out with the dog unit or taking to the beat with a local PCSO.

“To enter all applicants need to do is show us their interviewing skills in a short two-minute video. They can interview anyone they like, a colleague, local celebrity or even their pet dog.”

The competition closing date is this Friday August and the winners will be announced on Friday August 29.
