A SUPERMARKET has chosen a hospice to receive a year’s worth of support.

Sainsbury’s in Haywards Heath launched its charity appeal by naming St Peter and St James Hospice in Lewes as its charity of the year.

The hospice will receive a year’s worth of fundraising and awareness support after customers were able to vote for their favourite charity.

Carolyn Robinson, donor relationship manager, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by the staff and customers from Sainsbury’s and are looking forward to planning many exciting events over the coming year.”
