Travellers have arrived in West Worthing.
Two groups have turned up on West Parade open space and land adjacent to the George V Avenue roundabout.
It is thought they arrived today.
Both plots of land are owned by Worthing Borough Council.
The council has said it will undertake a welfare assessment today to assess the situation, the travellers’ needs, the environmental impact of their presence and the loss of public amenity.
Sussex Police is also aware of the encampments.
