More than 1,000 tons of Scandinavian rock will help keep seafront homes safe.

Arun District Council will take delivery of 1,000 tons of rock from Norway to shore up barriers at Pagham beach.

While awaiting the delivery, workers are continuing to build up natural defences by shifting shingle. New flood defences at the beach were badly damaged by storms in January.
