An appeal launched to help a girl with cerebral palsy buy a wheelchair to transform her life passed its first hurdle within days.
The crowd-funding campaign has raised the first £8,000 towards the cost of the £21,000 power chair.
Telscombe Cliffs Mayor Wayne Botting is heading the drive to help Leisha Lamberth, 13.
The fundraising continues with a 10km sponsored walk from Seaford to Telscombe Tye on September 6, from 5.30pm, to end with a firework display.
