A COUNCIL has asked people to recycle their chewing gum.
Horsham District Council will trial an initiative to encourage people in the town centre to dispose of gum responsibly and also cut cleansing costs.
Pink Gumdrop bins will be put in the town on August 27.
When full, the bin and its contents will be recycled into items such as tyres and toys.
Council staff spend five hours a week removing gum from streets at a cost of more than £5,000 per year.
