TWO cars were damaged by fire in a deliberate attack.

Firefighters were called to reports of two cars ablaze at Downlands Avenue, Bexhill, at about 3am yesterday morning.

The crew from Bexhill Fire Station got the fire under control by 4am and fire investigators believe it was deliberate.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said the cause of the fire was being investigated.

I'm pleased to see that the Argus took on board my comment about this being a deliberate act, not 'suspected arson' as it first claimed.
