FRIENDS Ella Knott and Megan Marston - both 16 - are celebrating their GCSE results in style by hot-footing it to Reading Festival.
Ella said: “I did quite well in all the subjects I'm doing next year, so I'm going to make one change because I didn't know what I was going to do but the results have made my mind up for me.
“I'm studying English language, graphic design, art and I wasn't sure about the last one but I think I might consider doing drama now over at BHASVIC.”
Megan said: “I got all the things I needed to get on my course at BHASVIC, so I'm really pleased.
“I'm going to do biology, chemistry, communication and culture and dance.”
The girls opened their envelopes together after a sleepless night and were terrified to find out their results.
Ella said: “It was so scary, but I'm glad we all did it together.”
Megan said: “It was really nerve-wracking walking in and thinking, ‘Oh my God, what did I get?’ “I'm happy everyone was here with us. It was much better because we could celebrate our results together.
“I didn't get much sleep last night and I woke up really early this morning.”
While most teenagers will spend the day relaxing, the two girls are off to take in Queens of the Stone Age, Blink-182, Bombay Bicycle Club and Arctic Monkeys along with the rest of the line-up.
