A new bike track for BMX enthusiasts is now ready for action.
Mid Sussex District Council unveiled the track at Leylands Park in Burgess Hill.
It was officially opened by Councillor Pru Moore, Mid Sussex District Council cabinet member for leisure and sustainability, earlier this month.
The new track features a “W shape” to create a series of long straights and jumps, as well as a tightly designed pump track – a separate course where riders use an up and down pumping motion to propel their bike forward instead of pedalling.
Neil Kemp, who lives close to the track, said: “When I was younger I used to ride on the old BMX course that was here in the 1980s but there was nothing for kids today.”
