A noisy suspected burglar was arrested after police found him in the side alley of a house.

The 26-year-old from Bexhill was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary with intent to steal after being caught at a home in Broad Oak Road, Bexhill, between 3.30am and 5.45am yesterday.

Police were initially called to a report of banging noises coming from a back garden.
