A cinema welcomed box office guests for a special screening of one of the country’s most popular TV shows.
Daleks turned up at the Dome Cinema in Marine Parade, Worthing, for the performance of the first Doctor Who episode of the new series on Saturday night.
Fans lapped up Peter Capaldi’s first appearance as the twelfth doctor – taking over from Matt Smith after his three-year stint.
Also on show thanks to sci-fi store Type 40 Toys was a Tardis, fancy dress and a number of Doctor items on display.
Ross McLaughlin, duty manager at the cinema, said: “It was great. Everybody seemed to really enjoy it and it was fantastic to see people come off the street just to have a look.
“We had about 160 people into the actual showing, which bearing in mind it was on TV as well isn’t bad. There was lots of laughter and everybody was very excited when the new doctor appeared for the first time, so it was a successful event.”
