65-year-old's Ford Fiesta crashes into tree and lands on its roof

A car driven by a 65-year-old woman left the road, collided with a tree and flipped over on to its roof yesterday.

The Crawley driver was taken to the East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, with serious injuries.

The accident, involving a burgundy Ford Fiesta, happened on the A23 Crawley Avenue, Crawley at about 4.40pm near the entrance to Ifield Community College.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk, quoting serial 875 of 25/8.
