A car driven by a 65-year-old woman left the road, collided with a tree and flipped on to its roof.
The driver, from Crawley, was taken to the East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, with serious injuries.
The accident, involving a burgundy Ford Fiesta, happened on the A23 Crawley Avenue, Crawley, at about 4.40pm on Monday, near the entrance to Ifield Community College. Call Sussex Police on 101 or email collision.
