A FESTIVAL featuring more than 400 artists has started.
Lewes Artwave launched in the company of artists and their guests at Lewes House on Friday before its initial showings over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The event, now in its 21st year, is held over three weekends every August and September in the Lewes District.
The festival covers the historic town of Lewes, the coastal towns of Seaford and Newhaven and picturesque villages of the South Downs and beyond.
Almost 100 venues open their doors to reveal prints, sculptures, paintings, ceramics and photography.
Visit www.artwavefestival.org for information on the artists and venues.
The festival runs until September 7.
