Move for demolition of hospital in dangerous condition
A CONSERVATORY in the grounds of a mental health hospital will be demolished and replaced after falling into a dangerous condition.
Sussex Partnership NHS Trust has applied for permission to knock down a conservatory in Aldrington House in New Church Road, Hove, which is used as a support office to the day hospital on the site.
A survey found the first-floor conservatory in a dangerous condition, forcing its closure and the building to be propped up with supports.
The walls are beyond repair and bosses want to build a bigger one in its place.
