St Peters Cricket Club’s under-13s dominated their clash with Portslade in the Sussex Junior Cricket Festival.

Adam Bukleb scored 69, and despite David Jones taking 4-25 in his seven overs, Portslade were set 170 for victory.

They ended up with a winning draw by scoring 74-8 from their 20 overs.

Jamie Morrish scored 31 while Louis Wynne-Roberts and Connor Simpkins were dismissed by Kyle Budd and Jake Attrell respectively.

Charlie Goss joined his captain and made 23 before he fell to David Jones, as did number five batsman William Morfitt.

Bukleb batted next.

He lost Hummd Ghouri (1) while George Michael-Phillips and Alex Coghlin both chipped in with 12 each to take St Peters total to 169-7 from 37 overs.

Elliot was caught by Bukleb for nine and Vardy was run out for 13. Lewis Shepherd scored 20 before he too was run out.

Aaron Sayers was bowled by Charlie Goss for a duck, Budd was dismissed for 4 and Attrell was bowled by Coughlin for 0.

Max Ratcliffe was caught by Ghouri off the bowling of Mitchell-Phillips.

Luke Robinson was dismissed for two while Ellis Candy and Jones both finished 1 not out to claim the winning draw.
