Cigarettes worth between £3,000 and £4,000 were stolen from a petrol station in an early-morning break-in.

Residents from the flat above the Murco garage in Barnhorn Road, Bexhill, were woken at 2.30am on Monday by the sound of two people smashing its front door.

It is thought the two suspects used a Dekton crow bar to break in and a vehicle to get away, carrying their swag in black tubs with yellow handles.

The first is described as white, wearing a black long-sleeved jacket, a black balaclava and black trainers with white writing. He was also wearing red plastic-style gloves with a light cuff.

The second is described as white, wearing a black woollen balaclava with a light blue hooded top, grey faded jeans and black Nike Air Max trainers with white writing. He was also wearing black fitted gloves.

Anyone who recognises the description of the suspects is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 108 of 25/08.
