A 22-year-old man was robbed while walking down the road.

He was approached by two men who demanded his wallet and mobile phone before pushing him against a wall and stealing his property.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack shortly after 11.30pm on Saturday in the Carlisle Road area of Eastbourne.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said the victims sustained cuts to his face.

One suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, about 6', of stocky build and clean shaven.

He was wearing a plain grey, zipless hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms with white stripes on the legs.

The second suspect is described also as white and in his 20s, 5'9", stockier than his companion and with stubble on his chin.

He was wearing a white hooded top emblazoned with the Lonsdale logo across the chest in black lettering, and blue jeans.
