Councillors have rejected plans to convert a long-neglected pub into a hostel.
Brighton and Hove planning committee rejected plans to convert the former Toby Inn in Cowley Drive, Brighton, into a temporary accommodation hostel with 18 rooms.
The former inn has been open for private functions since closing as a pub in 2006.
