Sade Maria Ali, 23, of London Road, Brighton, breached a community order imposed for stealing clothes from Next and Debenhams in Eastbourne. Her community order was revoked and she was given a two week custodial sentence suspended for 12 months.

Kevin Wakefield, 52, of The Crescent, Moulsecoomb, Brighton, was found guilty of vandalising a glass door and window at Empire Tandoori in Lewes Road and being racially abusive. He was given an electronic tag and a curfew preventing him leaving home between 7pm and 7am until September 16. He was also fined £110, ordered to pay compensation of £500 and £360 costs.

Joshua William Bowtle, 25, of Ditchling Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to assault and vandalising a Peugeot car causing £2,326 of damage. He was ordered to complete 240 hours of community service, pay £100 compensation and £145 costs.

Thomasz Dziemianowicz, 43, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods in Western Road, Brighton. He was ordered to take part in a community reintegration programme and pay £145 costs.

Scott Maynard, 30, of Arundel Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to refusing to give a specimen of breath after a car accident. He was given an eight week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, banned from driving for 36 months and ordered to pay £105 costs. Mark Talmey, 47, of Ashton Rise, Brighton, was found guilty of sexual assault. He was given a 26 week suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay costs of £430.

John Maclean Cooper, 29, of no fixed address admitted failing to comply with a community order made at Brighton Magistrates’ Court for assault. The order was revoked and he was given a new 12 month supervision order and ordered to pay £70 costs.

Michael Ferron, 62, of Park Crescent Terrace, Brighton, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and was found guilty of assaulting a special police constable. He was fined £147 and ordered to pay £303 costs.

Thomas Zakariavikas, 25, of Wellington Road, Brighton pleaded guilty to assault and causing damage to the victim’s iPhone. He was bailed until October 22 for sentencing.

Gareth Halsall, 43, of Glynleigh, Ashton Rise, Brighton, admitted to drunk and disorderly behaviour in George Street, Hove and assaulting two police officers. He was given a conditional discharge of 12 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 costs.

Paulo Jarvis, 41, of Tivoli Crescent, Brighton, admitted drink driving in Dyke Road Avenue and Tivoli Crescent North. He was given a 40 hour community order and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85. Ten points were added to his licence.

Sian Khiavi, 55, of Barclay House, Wellington Road, Brighton, admitted racially abusing a police officer outside her house and assaulting another police officer. She was given a conditional discharge for 18 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £100 costs.

Terence Reed, 57, of Dudeney Lodge, Upper Hollingdean Road, Brighton, admitted indecent exposure at Kings Parade, Ditchling Road. Sentencing was adjourned until September 17 for a pre-sentence report.

Darren Palmer, 46, c/o Tilbury Way, Queens Park, Brighton, admitted assault by beating. He was fined £73, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

David Smith, 39, of Highcroft Villas, Brighton, admitted destroying a pane of glass belonging to the post office in Melville Road, Hove and assault by beating. He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation.
