John Patrick Slattery, 35, of Jevington Gardens, Eastbourne, admitted failing to comply with the directions of a police officer when ordered to leave Roberston Street in Hastings. He also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Hastings Magistrates’ Court, resisting a constable in the execution of their duty and assaulting PC Jamie Twaites. He was fined £207 and ordered to carry out 40 hours community service.

Kyle Richard Heath, 20, of Penfold Drive, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing ten cans of Stella from Co-op, two charges of assault, using threatening and abusive language, stealing alcohol from Tesco, stealing a sandwich from Sainsbury’s, vandalising a crate of alcohol belonging to Spar, causing harassment and two counts of using threatening or abusive language in public. He was bailed until a sentencing hearing on September 16.
