THE trial of a teenager accused of trying to murder two young women he kept captive has been adjourned for more psychiatric reports.

Connah Smith, 19, was due to stand trial yesterday but the case was put back until November 3 after his defence received new information.

Smith, of Vernon Terrace, Brighton, has admitted falsely imprisoning and repeatedly stabbing Gabrielle Price and Megan Parson, but denies attempted murder and threats to kill.

Police say Smith held his two victims against their will at an address in Dean Street, Brighton, overnight from 29 March to 30 March this year, one for about seven hours and the other for about nine hours.

His trial is due to take place at Hove Crown Court.
