Drivers being warned to watch out for a yacht

First published in News

Motorists are being warned that a newly-purchased yacht could hamper their journey this weekend.

The new owner of the 6.7 metre wide yacht will have a Sussex Police and Highways Agency escort as his delivery is transferred from a dock in Southampton to its new home in Polegate on Saturday night.

It is believed that the owner wants to take the yacht to his land-locked Polegate home to carry out some work on the boat.

Motorists are being warned of the possibility of delays as the convoy travels along the M23 at 6pm and on the A27 between Lewes and Polegate between 9pm and 10pm.
