A cyclist who died when he fell off his bike in a London park was a “brilliant” scientist and a University of Brighton graduate.

Pharmaceuticals expert Dr Sian Tiong Lim, 40, was killed when he lost control on a steep hill during a circuit of Richmond Park in London on Sunday August 24.

The crash happened eight miles from the £750,000 home in Oxshott, Surrey, he shared with his wife Evelyn Lim, four-year-old daughter Caelyn and baby son Elijah, born in June.

Dr Lim graduated from the University of Brighton in 1996 and completed his PhD at King’s College London in 2000 before joining pharmaceuticals firm MedPharm in Guildford where he rose to become vice president of development.
