A Portslade man is due to appear before Brighton magistrates tomorrow accused of racially abusing a bus driver and dodging a taxi fare.

Brian David Hamilton, 45, of Highlands Road, Portslade, has been charged with racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm and distress and making off without payment of a taxi fare, both on Monday, August 25.

Following an initial appearance before city magistrates on August 26, Mr Hamilton was remanded in custody.
