Firefighters spent more than 12 hours at the scene of a large hay bale fire from yesterday evening.
The blaze consumed approximately 500 bales of hay, reported as being "well alight".
Three West Sussex fire engines turned out initially to the fire in Cuckfield Road, Burgess Hill, at about 8.20pm before another crew from Brighton hopped over the county border to lend a hand.
The crews got the blaze under control overnight, with some staying onsite to keep an eye on it.
But it flared back up again at 7am this morning and they got back to work.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said no people or animals were hurt.
