A WOMAN suffered a fractured shoulder when she was pushed to the ground by a man trying to steal her handbag.

The 28-year-old was walking home from work when a man ran up behind her and tried to grab the bag.

She hung onto it but the man pushed her over, causing her to fall and fracture her shoulder.

Detectives today released CCTV of a man they want to trace over the incident in Hollingdean Park, Brighton, at about 4pm on Friday August 29.

Detective constable Emma Vickers said: "The suspect is described as around 17, around 5' 4" and skinny. He was wearing a brown, hooded top and dark denim jeans.

"This CCTV image shows a man in the area at the time who matches the description and was seen again running from the area after the attempted robbery.

"Nothing was taken but the victim has been left with a hairline fracture to her shoulder and is very shaken."

Contact police on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or 101 quoting serial 1126 of 29/8.

Or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Why don't papers give the colour and ethnic details of the offenders? Got to be better than just saying the suspect is 5ft tall. That's right, politically correct again. This suspect is an Asian male.

The paper was probably hoping that we'd spot that from the image rather than having to state it.

Because the Police are handcuffed by political correctness. If they say he is black or Asian then they are seen as racist. Ridiculous yet welcome to Sharia Britain.

And the WPC Emma Vickers is just doing her job and probably has been told not to mention colour - even though this is the most detectable trait!!

Among other backgrounds he could be Arabic or North African judging from the low resolution image so perhaps that's why the police did not refer to him as Asian. Just a thought.

This happened almost a week ago! In this day and age when we know when one of the Kardashians passed wind within minutes, why are we so ill informed of events that occurred just around the corner? Are the Police just slow or are our 'local' hacks too busy Facebooking and Twittering?
People read the local press because we are interested in local events not local history! As for the request for help regarding local incidents, might just as well not bother!

Most likely an illegal immigrant that the authorities don't even know about. Therefore they will have little chance of catching him.

Britain is in such a mess today and virtually ruined as a country; rampant crime and complete moral decline.
