Two hospitals have been rated as great places to be cared for.
Worthing Hospital and St Richards in Chichester have been rated higher than the national average across the board for their quality of care in the NHS PLACE survey.
PLACE is a patient-led survey which rates hospitals on cleanliness, food and hydration, privacy and dignity and condition, appearance and maintenance categories.
Cathy Stone, director of nursing and patient safety at the trust, said: “We all know how important it is to provide top-quality clinical treatment, but it is also essential to get fundamentals right in terms of good food, cleanliness, and making people feel comfortable and respected.”
St Richard’s hospital received a 100% rating for cleanliness.
