A lane of the county’s busiest road will be closed overnight for more than two months while repair works are carried out on a viaduct.

One lane will be closed between junctions 8 to 9 on the M23 at Coopers Hill from this Friday until the end of November.

Highways Authority engineers will also be carrying out resurfacing work on the westbound entry slip road at the Adur Interchange of the A27.

The slip road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am today with diversions in place.

There will also be overnight closures and diversions in place around the A27 Cophall Farm roundabout in Polegate from Monday until next Sunday.
