A prisoner who committed four offences on the run from an open prison has been jailed for three years and nine months.
Craig Hayler walked out of HMP Ford in March and was arrested in Southampton on July 29.
The 31-year-old admitted being unlawfully at large, making off without payment and two burglaries while on the run at Southampton Crown Court on Monday.
Hayler had been repatriated to the UK to serve a six-month prison sentence imposed for burglaries in Cyprus before absconding.
