YOUNG girls have been tasked with getting themselves featured in The Argus as part of the Brownies’ 100th birthday celebrations.
Brownies from Burgess Hill have been undertaking a series of challenges in recent months to celebrate the cenenary of the movement.
These have included a sleepover at the American Express Community Stadium – the home of Brighton and Hove Albion – and creating the number 100 out of items found at their guide hall.
Jo Burgess, guide leader, said: “We’ve completed so many challenges this year and the final one was getting in the newspaper.
“We’ve had a brilliant time celebrating the 100th birthday. At the Amex, the girls got to be part of a fantastic celebration and still talk about it now. Hopefully they’ve made memories for a lifetime.
