An 11-year-old girl has been hit by a car near a school.
South East Coast Ambulance Service said paradmedic crews treated the girl for injuries to her legs.
Police were informed of the incident.
It happened just before 3pm on the junction of Falmer Road and Cowley Drive in Woodingdean.
A spokeswoman from Longhill School could not confirm if the child was a member of the school.
Brighton and Hove Bus Company said it terminated its number 2 service in Woodingdean and as it could not drive through to Rottingdean due to a child being knocked over in Falmer Road.
The road was reopened within an hour of the incident and bus services resumed.
