THESE little fellas will be centre stage at the weekend for International Red Panda Day (September 20).

Drusillas Park, near Alfriston, will take part in the worldwide initiative to raise awareness of the species.

The park’s first red pandas arrived in 2013 as part of a special European breeding programme. Earlier this year saw the birth of Mulan and Tibao’s first babies, born on June 16.

Twins Mya and Anmar are still being looked after by mum Mulan in their specially adapted nest box.

It is hoped the adorable youngsters will help raise awareness of the animals and the dangers they face in the future.

Red pandas were first discovered by westerners only in 1825. Their natural habitat is the Himalayan mountains of China, India and Nepal where they are threatened by hunting.
