The man who died after being hit by a train near Shoreham station last week has been named.
Samuel Howland, 33, from Shoreham, died after being hit by a train near the level crossings, close to McDonalds in Eastern Avenue, on the morning of Thursday September 11.
A spokesman from British Transport Police said: βI can confirm that the man who died after being struck by a train at a level crossing on Eastern Avenue, Shoreham on Thursday, 11 September, was Samuel Howland, 33, from Shoreham-by-Sea.
βAn inquest into his death opened and adjourned on Friday, 12 September.β
