FIVE men have been arrested after a 22-year-old woman reported being gang raped.
Police raided a property in Lansdowne Place, Hove, yesterday morning at about 8.15am.
An eye-witness reported seeing two police cars and an immigration van at the scene.
He said: “Police officers were going in and out of the property. Officers returned last night and did door to door enquiries along the street at about 6pm.”
Sussex Police said the Worthing woman reported being raped by a group of men she had met on August 25.
A spokeswoman said: “Police arrested three 21-year-olds and a 30-year-old at an address in Lansdowne Place on Thursday (18/9) and another 21-year-old yesterday (19/9).
“They were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rape the woman. They have been bailed until January 2015 while investigations continue.”
A spokesman for the Home Office said they were assisting in a police matter but declined to comment further.
