The seafront was awash with colour, noise and dance as Hare Krishna followers gathered for an annual festival.
Hove promenade was the scene for the Rathayatra Festival which is held in honour of Lord Krishna and his devotees.
The event has its origins in a ceremony originally held some 2,000 years ago on the east coast of India.
Everyone chants the Hare Krishna maha-mantra and dances as a model of Krishna is pulled along in a huge wooden cart.
Vegetarian food, otherwise known as Prasadam, was served after the procession.
Hare Krishna is a movement which has its origins in New York in the 1960s. Its core beliefs are based on select traditional Hindu scripture and members promote the practice of bhakti yoga.
