Cancelled services and delays of up to 20 minutes are affecting trains services this morning.
Network Rail engineers are on the scene at Lancing working to repair the signalling fault which is effecting services going both ways between Brighton and Havant.
Numerous trains along the route are delayed and there is currently no estimation for when the fault will be repaired.
A spokesman for Southern Rail said: "A signalling problem between Shoreham-by-Sea and Lancing is causing delays of up to 20 mintues to trains between Brighton / Hove and Havant.
"There is no firm estimate yet of how long disruption will last but it is likely to continue until at least 09:00.
