A community group donned their top hats and trunks to recreate a 150-year-old photograph.
Members of the Brighton Bear Patrol recreated the 1863 picture of Brighton Swimming Club to raise funds for the Sussex Beacon charity.
The original picture is believed to have been taken by the photographer Benjamin William Botham.
Botham was only allowed to become a member of the club “on condition of his taking a photographic sketch of the members of the club”.
Danny Dwyer, founder of the LGBT community group, organised the event.
To buy a copy of the picture for £8 – with half of the money to be donated to Sussex Beacon, visit www.nickford photography.co.uk.
