SCORES of excited shoppers queued in anticipation at the opening of Topshop and Topman as they opened a new store today.

The launch marks the end of major building work at Churchill Square Shopping Centre in Brighton.

The bespoke store, opened at 10am, covers 22,172 sq ft across two floors.

To celebrate the launch Topshop’s online community will be able to use tweets as currency to get free lipstick and sweets.

Customers just have to use the hashtag #TOPSHOPBrightonRock on Twitter, Facebook or Intsagram to collect the freebies – and to be in with a chance of collecting a free treat.

It will feature Topshop and Topman’s first joint shopping space and personal shopping department outside London.

Personal shoppers will offer the free service to customers from the comfort of a private area.

Street teams are driving eye-catching vintage Citroën vans across the city inviting customers to the launch.

Inside Beauty experts will offer free makeovers, beauty advice and manicures.

Once the treatment is finished, customers will be able to perfect their pout in a photobooth while DJs try to create a party atmosphere.

The store will offer their latest and exclusive new products, including sought-after collections such as Tall, Petite, Maternity, Topman Ltd and Lux.

The refurbishment of Churchill Square has seen new double-height glass shop fronts on the Western Road façade for existing stores BHS, Burtons and Dorothy Perkins.
